The Marine Mammal Center Corporate Partners Program
Together, with our corporate partners, we recognize the fundamental relationship that binds humans, animals, and the ocean. Covering more than 70% of our planet, the ocean is Earth's primary life-support system – and these animals are critical bellwethers of its health. By caring for them, we care for all of life.
We rescue marine mammals for many different reasons, including malnourishment, separation, entanglements, and diseases, but nearly 10% of the animals we rescue have been impacted by human interaction and hazards like net and fishing line entanglements, gun shots, illegal pick-ups, and boat strikes – making their rescue our responsibility as a community.
Corporate support directly impacts the heart of our mission: to expand knowledge about marine mammals—their health and that of their ocean environment—and to inspire their global conservation.
With this critical corporate support, we help build a sense of connection to the marine environment and marine mammals, and to inspire action to protect the oceans. This sounds a call for education of the stewards of tomorrow. Together we can inspire a new generation of ocean ambassadors.
How can corporate partners help?
Corporate partners can become overall Center sponsors or individual event sponsors. Specific events include: Run for the Seals, our annual Gala, Open Houses, patient releases, Meet the Scientist talks, Earth Day and World Oceans Day celebrations, Members-Only Nights, Marine Science Sundays, special exhibits, corporate volunteer days, and more.
