Marine Mammal Day is designed to encourage fans to inquire about the Center's work in rescuing and treating hundreds of seals, sea lions and other marine mammals each year. The San Francisco Giant's mascot, Lou Seal, as well as the Center's own Frannie the Fur Seal will cheer the Giants on as they take on the Baltimore Orioles during the afternoon game.
At the game:
- Visit our tables throughout the ballpark to learn about our work, become a volunteer, and support our special hospital for seals and sea lions.
- Using your cell phone, text the word FISH (space) and donation amount to 27138 to support our Dollar-a-Pound campaign. Every dollar will help feed some hungry seals!
- All text participants and or donations made that day are entered into a drawing for fantastic prizes donated by the Giants including team autographed baseballs, bats and tickets to games this baseball season.
- Bring your ticket stub from the June 16 game to The Marine Mammal Center gift stores at PIER 39 or in the Marin Headlands and receive 10% off your purchases during your visit!
