Run for the Seals - They Walked, They Ran, They Saved Seals!

The 27th Annual Run for the Seals event took place on March 12, 2011. The event was attended by an estimated 1,200 people (including canine and baby joggers) featured a 4-mile run and a 2-mile walking option through the scenic Marin Headlands within the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Afterwards, runners and walkers were treated to a free Family Fun day at the Center's headquarters just up the hill from Rodeo Beach. Participants set a fundraising record this year raising nearly $50,000 in pledges. In all, $82,638 was raised which will help feed many seals this pupping season!
