The 27th Annual Run for the Seals event took place on March 12, 2011. The event was attended by an estimated 1,200 people (including canine and baby joggers) featured a 4-mile run and a 2-mile walking option through the scenic Marin Headlands within the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Afterwards, runners and walkers were treated to a free Family Fun day at the Center's headquarters just up the hill from Rodeo Beach. Participants set a fundraising record this year raising nearly $50,000 in pledges. In all, $82,638 was raised which will help feed many seals this pupping season!
