
Brian Putler, J.D.
Brian Putler manages state and local government relations for Bank of America in the 10 western states. Located in Sacramento, he started at the bank in November 2014, after working as one of California Governor Jerry Brown’s legislative deputies. Brian handled a broad subject-matter portfolio of bills for Governor Brown, including economic development, taxation, CalPERS/CalSTRS, veterans and transportation.
Previously, Brian served for 10 years as Legislative Director of the California Franchise Tax Board, the country’s largest state tax agency. He also worked as a Tax Counsel for the Board and as a litigation associate at a Sacramento law firm. Brian graduated with a bachelor’s degree from UCLA and a law degree from Pacific/McGeorge School of Law.
