Our program this month will be Under The Bridge: Marine Mammals of SF Bay, a look at the seals, sea lions, porpoises, and even whales that we can see right in our own backyard. Learn about the sea lions of Pier 39 and the exciting return of harbor porpoises to the Bay after a 60 year absence! Join us for classroom presentations, Docent-led tours, and more!

Aloha Races and Polynesian Festival

22nd Annual Aloha Races & Polynesian Festival
When: Sunday, August 24, 2014
Where: Santa Cruz Wharf, Santa Cruz, CA
Price: FREE

The Marine Mammal Center will be represented at the 22nd annual Aloha Races and Polynesian Festival by volunteers from our Monterey Bay satellite facility. We will be bringing attention to the plight of the Hawaiian Monk Seal and our efforts to help them survive with the new Ke Kai Ola Hospital in Kona, Hawaii. We will have a booth at the festival, selling shirts designed by Doug Ross, one of our volunteers who is also a local artist. The Marine Mammal Center will also have an entry in the outrigger race, so please come out and cheer us on.
