School programs and tours are hands-on, geared to specific grade levels, and support the California State Science Standards. The Whale Bus travels to schools, turning classrooms into marine mammal museums. Discover the wild Sea Lions in the City at PIER 39 in San Francisco. Learn about our Marine Science Discovery Program that engages high schools students in underserved communities, enriching their lives with new experiences in marine biology.
Everyone is invited to visit The Marine Mammal Center’s veterinary hospital and education facility to learn from our knowledgeable docents and engaging exhibits. You may partake in our unique programs and tours designed for individuals and families (fewer than 10 people). You may enjoy a Docent-Led Tour or Audio Tour on the day of your visit. We also offer programs and tours for groups of all ages.
