The following tables give general information on the current
patients at The Marine Mammal Center.
Many of the animals admitted to The Center experience some form of human interaction, including illegal pickup and harassment. Harassment of a marine mammal includes trying to pet or touch it, pouring water on it, attempting to feed it or give it water, allowing dogs to approach, moving the animal on the beach or trying to push it back into the water. You can help these animals survive by staying back at least 50 feet, keeping dogs and other disturbances away, and reporting the animal to The Marine Mammal Center at 415.289.SEAL or 831.633.6298 or 805.771.8300 as soon as possible.
