Ke Kai Ola Kaiāulu Fest: Seal-abrating a Decade of Ocean Conservation

The public is invited to the free conservation festival, Ke Kai Ola Kaiāulu Fest: Seal-abrating a Decade of Ocean Conservation, featuring community partners, live music, activities for keiki, tours of the monk seal hospital, as well as food trucks and refreshments.

The festival will take place Saturday, September 28 from 12:00pm-5:00pm at Ke Kai Ola:

73-731 Makako Bay Drive Kailua-Kona, HI 96740.

Tickets are free, but RSVP is required.

The community festival will kick off with a short opening program including Hawaiian cultural protocol.

Festival highlights:

Several of Ke Kai Ola’s local conservation partners will have special booths at the event: Mokupāpapa Discovery Center, Kohala Centerʻs Reef Teach, Hawai'i Wildlife Center, County of Hawai'i, Hawai'i Wildlife Fund, DLNR Aquatics and Conservation Enforcement Division, Cascadia, The Nature Conservancy, Hawai'i Keiki Museum, DAR Protected Species Program Barbless Circle Hooks station, Waikōloa Dry Forest Initiative, Uluha'o o Hualalai, Miloli'i Makai Watch Hui, Kaloko-Honokohau National Historic Park Rangers, and Papahanaumokuakea Marine Debris Project

Commemorate the day with pics at the marine mammal themed photobooth
