Book a Tour to Meet Our Patients

This patient is a Guadalupe fur seal, a species that we have rescued in increasing numbers over recent years. As a species that lives in the open ocean, these fur seals rarely come to shore except for when they are sick or injured.

Changing ocean conditions, domoic acid toxicosis and entanglement are the main drivers of stranding in this species.
