Betty Hasler has served on The Marine Mammal Center Board of Directors since 2001, having served multiple terms as chair of the development and nominating committees. She is currently secretary of the board.

Betty’s career spanned over 30 years in executive search, specializing in senior level recruitment for colleges and universities. She was a partner at the international search firm Heidrick and Struggles for most of her career. She later joined Hodge Partners as one of its initial founding partners. When Hodge partners was acquired by Diversified Search, she became a managing director for the firm until her retirement in 2016.

Betty received her bachelor’s degree from Baylor University and her master’s degree from Texas Tech University. She is married to Bill Hasler, an angel investor and former dean of the Haas School of business at UC Berkeley. Bill was also a former vice chair of worldwide consulting for KPMG Peat Marwick. They have three children and four grandchildren.
