Marine Science Sunday Interactive Programs
Join us in person on the second and fourth Sunday of each month for a live program focused on a variety of marine science topics.
Visit our hospital and visitor center in Sausalito, California, to learn more about what The Marine Mammal Center is doing to help save marine mammals found along the California coast and beyond, and learn more about how you can help.
These interactive presentations hosted by our award-winning educators feature multimedia, pictures, video and more to share the stories of amazing marine mammals and the Center’s efforts to ensure the health of these animals and our ocean.
Reserve Tickets
Marine Science Sunday programs are held on the second and fourth Sunday of each month at 10:30am, 12:00pm, and 2:00pm. Each program is 30 minutes.
Anyone can participate in the program, but you must reserve a general admission ticket to visit The Marine Mammal Center that day.
When planning your visit, we recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before the Marine Science Sunday presentation to take advantage of the limited seating. Traffic in the Marin Headlands can get very busy, especially on weekends, so please plan accordingly.

June | Sea Lions of the World
This month is all about celebrating the sea lion. Let's look at some of the diversity of sea lions around the world and what makes them super special. Join us as we explore the big, the small, the weird, and everything in between!
A local artist will join this event, bringing art education to Marine Science Sunday.
American Sign Language interpretation will be provided for all tours and programs on June 28 at no additional cost.
July | Top Predators
Some of the world’s best predators are in the ocean! Come learn about orcas, sharks, and even polar bears! You’ll hear about hunting habits to what we think makes them succeed, as we dive into some incredible top predators!
