Be a Hero for Whales

Why does your support matter? You see, the health of animals like whales, our ocean and humans are interconnected. Yet the greatest threats to whales are caused by humans.

We’ve made positive impacts before—like freeing whales from ocean trash and conducting vital research that led to shipping lane changes—all because of this caring community.

Today, you can get your gift matched and help provide double the tools and resources experts need to continue this critical work. Together, we can protect these gentle giants and their ocean home.

Angel Chrisentary

Education Volunteer Coordinator

Angel leads the training, mentoring and retention of education volunteers and interns in Sausalito. She looks forward to expressing her passion for marine life and working with The Marine Mammal Center to inspire others.

Angel started with the Center in 2021 as a Conservation Education intern supporting the Community Engagement team. As an intern, she was able to blend her passions for biology and conservation while creating volunteer trainings and leading virtual public programs.

In 2019, Angel received her bachelor’s degree in marine biology from Georgia Southern University. Her love for marine life and biology led her to participate in school trips to the Florida Keys and intern with her school’s aquaponics program. Angel has also volunteered at Zoo Atlanta, where she provided educational information to guests about the zoo’s animals and their care.

Angel loves going to amusement parks, traveling and watching Harry Potter movies!
