Tell Congress: Don’t Let Extinction Be an Option

For the first time in 30 years, the administration is planning to convene the Endangered Species Committee, a federal panel of government officials. Why? To grant an exception from the Endangered Species Act that would allow oil and gas operations in the Gulf of Mexico.

If this moves forward, endangered marine mammals and other rare wildlife that call the Gulf home will be at grave risk and pushed closer toward extinction.

Holley graduated from UC Davis with a B.S. in Marine and Coastal Science and a B.A. in English. Since graduating, she has worked with a number of conservation organizations, including as a Rescue and Response Intern based at the Center’s Moss Landing location and, most recently, as an Education Specialist at the Alaska SeaLife Center. 

Holley enjoys hiking with her dog, hanging out at coffee shops, and spending time with family and friends.
