Tell Congress: Don’t Let Extinction Be an Option

For the first time in 30 years, the administration is planning to convene the Endangered Species Committee, a federal panel of government officials. Why? To grant an exception from the Endangered Species Act that would allow oil and gas operations in the Gulf of Mexico.

If this moves forward, endangered marine mammals and other rare wildlife that call the Gulf home will be at grave risk and pushed closer toward extinction.

Julie supports the interim CEO, the Executive Team and the Board of Directors. She comes to the Center with extensive experience in the nonprofit sector, and recently held this position as a temp. 

Julie’s experiences with other organizations have involved the support, organization and coordination of complex programs, such as her work with the Pride Institute, where she supported dozens of multi-day training programs annually for dentists around the country. 

Outside of work, Julie likes to spend time with family. She has twin 15-year-old girls with whom she likes to spend time at Donner Lake where they hike, bike, do ropes courses, kayak, ski and snowshoe.
